RDS Roofing - Safety

Did you know that there are more work related deaths recorded per year than those caused by road accidents?

That is why RDS Roofing follows strict Work Cover Laws by providing a safe work place for its employees as well as the general public. By doing so, RDS Roofing carries out a Work Method Statement for each job site, which starts with a Site Risk Assessment.

The installation of guard rail around the roof working area is a must for roofs that have a pitch of 25 to 36 degrees, from 36 degrees and higher, scaffolding must be in place. The height for guard rail is now from 2 metres to 3 storey building height and not over 36 degree pitch; over3 storey, again, scaffold must be in place.

Safety harnesses must be worn if there is no other fall protection in place.
